Mein Sonnenhof - Snowkiten auf dem Reschensee

Water sports

Kite surfing has become popular here in the Reschen Pass holiday area, no doubt thanks to the perfect wind and water conditions that make this area a real Mecca for kiters from all over Europe – including beginners, who find here a suitable environment for learning the ropes of this increasingly trendy sport.

Haider lake

The “lake plateau” – a fisherman’s paradise

With a surface area of 90 hectares, the Haider lake has made a name for itself as a fishing hotspot – and the best whitefish reserve in the Alps. We are happy to provide detailed information on how to obtain the necessary fishing permit and daily passes for both Lake Reschen and the Haider lake.

Mein Sonnenhof - Bogenschießen

A stone’s throw from your Sonnenhof holiday apartment can be found the only year-round archery course in the whole Vinschgau valley. It is situated in the Talaiwald, a larch forest with its own distinctive charm. Combined with exciting family-friendly facilities – consisting of 28 stations with a wide variety of animal-shaped targets, from capercaillies to bears – it makes for a unique experience.

Summer by the lake

A Nordic walking track and a great circular footpath run along the shores of the picturesque Haider lake. Taking a walk through the surrounding woods and meadows is a great way to relax: the glistening water surface and the buzzing of busy insects combine to inspire a sense of peace and tranquillity. It is a natural highlight that is also a big favourite among runners, who come here for their morning jog or to train for their next marathon
